Peachtree Place - 356 Collins Street, Melbourne
The refurbishment of Peachtree Place involved both an internal and external upgrade to the busy Collins Street location while it was business as usual for the retail stores and 16 levels of tenants. Public protection and delineation of the site compounds was an ever moving target and a key component to the success of this project.
Externally, the façade was demolished across the entire street frontage, including the main lobby entrance, tenancies of NIB and T.M. Lewin, extended and replaced with new custom steel framed glass surrounded by large format limestone cladding. Internally, the walls and ceilings have been adorned with custom timber battens, set to a curve creating a wave from front to back on both ceiling and walls. The existing main staircase was transformed by applying imported Italian stone (Nero Tempesta), Bluestone, polished brass inset to the stairs with feature LED lighting and leather wrap hand rails.
The existing lift lobby was also transformed using a mixing of imported stone to the floor and walls along with feature lighting and Rimex cladding to the ceiling and lift surrounds.
